Mary’s Helping Hands

Due to the many open hearts, $2709.47 has been received thus far this year into the Mother Mary’s Helping Hands funds. With those gifts the committee was able to assist the following charities:

Jill Armstrong presented her blanket ministry at the conference in April. The committee approved $500 to her project where she provides blankets, school supplies and healing message to the children in homeless shelters of Orange County.

Previous to the meeting Mei Lan had done some research on worthy charities that donated the largest percentage to the needy and had found some she thought were important:
American Refugee Committee-$300
Clean Water project-$300

Conneta also asked if we could donate to the Heifer Project which was also approved by the committee at $300.

We thank everyone for their generous contributions,
Conneta Johnson-Committee Chair
